About This Content "Oh lovely. Bit of rain to really make the journey special.” Something is not right in the town of Stromdorf, the new DLC for Vermintide. A courier carrying important news has disappeared, and the Skaven seem once again to be plotting something sinister.Make your way across the roaming hills outside of Stromdorf in The Courier, in search of the missing courier and the information he carries. Continue your journey in Reaching Out by venturing in to Stromdorf, a city with a history of fantastically brewed beer and never-ending rain, and take the Skaven head-on. Wait until this goes on sale before you buy it. Why? I finished both maps within an hour, and there is only one new weapon available, a weapon that isn't particularly different from the standard greatsword for Kruber, or the Zweihander for Saltzpyre. And having played 200+ hours on console, I can only say that it feels almost identical in gameplay.Castle Drachenfells was a massive expansion with two very large maps and an excellent climatic battle map, full of new art and awesome new weapons. The best expansion by a country mile.Karak Azgaraz is also pretty fantastic. With two large maps and decent climax. The new weapons were only ok though but its almost worth it just for the fantastic new music and the Rangers dialogue. Stromdorf is decent. One largish map and a fairly small one-with a twist absolutely worth lauding-set in a... not too bad new setting. The rain looks ok? To be honest the new maps are rather bland. The fields don't stand out nearly as much as the snowy plains of the mountains, and the city itself is a pale imitation of Ubersreik's grungy glory. Also, its worth noting that Reaching Out is by far the biggest drain on your rig in this game, outclassing even the Garden of Morr and the White Rat for fps drop. I play a comfortable 65 fps on most maps, but find myself dropping down to 43-47 pretty regularly in Stromdorf. The new weapon is a big sword not very different at all from the greatsword, and that is all there is to it. Nothing exciting and honestly dissapointing, imo. We've had new weapons like the Volley Crossbow and the Glaive, so another greatsword is not even worth mentioning. If there was new music, except for one moment in Reaching Out, it wasn't good enough to stand out from the standard soundtrack. I didn't notice. All in all, its fine. New maps always add a little something to a game, even if they aren't very innovative or different from the rest. Worth buying on sale, but otherwise just play it for free with some friends or a generous pubbie.. Certainly a welcome addition to this amazing game, but it still leaves me wanting for more impactful game mechanics, enemies, and variations that'll help keep the game fresh past level 30. This certainly helps.. What can I say? Fine craftsmanship as always. Both maps are beautiful and well done, big and fun. And now we have actual boss fight.Weapon is headshot-focused, so it's should be good in pro hands, not some nube-tube.Keep it up, FS, you guys know we always want more.. I bought this DLC because Vermintide is a very good game. So I decided to support the game development buying this DLC as soon as it was possible. But the price/quality , in comparision with the others DLCs isn'ts good enough in my humble opinion. The others DLC are much better than this. More maps, more objets and gameplay in this one is too short. I rather prefer pay 9€ for the other two DLCs than pay 7€ for this. This DLC should be 4.99€-5.49€...I was thinking on claiming for a refund...but then I remember all the good times this game has bring to my life... And almost all my friends need me for playing those maps because they won't buy this DLC.So, I decided to keep the game and consider this a donation for a good cause.I hope Fat Shark will improve this DLC with others object, or anothers "Last Stand" level or something like that. Then I will change my mind and give it a possitive feedback.Sorry for my Thumb down boys... (and sorry for my english). Where the last DLC, Karak Azgaraz, battered players with snow as they explored a Dwarfen fortress high in the Grey Mountains, the new adventure will introduce another form of precipitation. The forecast is a 100% chance of rain as you journey to the small market town of Stromdorf and the surrounding hills, a “wet and wild” area of the Old World just to the north of Ubersreik, Vermintide’s main setting. A courier carrying important information has gone missing and naturally the Skaven are involved and up to no good, so off you go to stop them.It looks like Stromdorf is a bit slimmer than Karak Azgaraz, adding two new levels where the last DLC added three, and one new weapon (a big sword for Markus Kruber) instead of two.I got it on sale and got my money's worth out of it already. New Sword for Kruber is amazing !Need a Halberd / Asrai Speer next, pls !!! Best dlc in order for me by a mile 1. Karak Azgaraz2. Castle Drachenfels3. StromdorfBest dlc weapons in order for me1. Executioner’s Sword !2. Volley Crossbow !3. Glaive / Falchion / Pick ...(they are all fantastic n fun to use !)It's your call what you buy or don't, I buy this stuff to support the game.Besides of this you can always join other people hosting the dlc maps without paying anything !. Love Vermintide (played it for over 100 hours) but the price for 2 mediocre maps is just wrong. I picked it up on summer sale 15% off and I still feel cheated. This DLC shouldn't cost more than $4 regular price.
